"Episode 25"
Original Airdate: 8/5/2005
There’s no question that summer is our time to live the surf lifestyle. It’s the season when we paddle out for sun-soaked surf sessions. Long days and short nights make summer the ultimate time to be on the ocean. In this episode of Long Board TV, we pay tribute to summer and its lasting link to surfing. To this end, we profile Jim Russi, a photographer who has produced some of surfing’s most lasting summer images. Next, we review Siestas and Olas, a film that documents the laid-back surf lifestyle on a months-long road trip through Mexico. We also take a look at the 11th Annual Longboard Invitational and Luau, an event held every summer to raise awareness, and money, for cancer research. Finally, we take a look at one of summer surfing’s most popular locationsthe Superbank on the Gold Coast of Australia.
